Service Description

Back by popular demand! Our regular Wednesday night guitar making class has been fully booked for more than two years, so in light of that we have opened up a new evening class on Tuesday nights run by master luthier Kris Richmond. Students on the evening class will select timber and begin building their own dream guitar in the first session. You are encouraged to build their guitars using our in-house jigs and moulds, but you are also welcome to design your own guitar from the ground up if you wish. Take a look at the gallery page to see our students' past work and you'll have an idea of what you will be working towards. We're really excited to welcome Kris into the fold at Bristol Guitar Making School. Kris has an extensive background in teaching, and set up Richmond Guitars building stunning bespoke acoustic guitars. He is a regular on the guitar show circuit and has worked alongside Alex helping with repair work and building guitars. Best of all, he is highly skilled at the hand tool processes that we favour in our workshop, making him the perfect teacher to guide you in building your first guitar. The first sessions start on 6th February 2024. Book your place now to avoid disappointment.
